The Top 7 Sites To Get A Cheap Vacation

When school lets out and the warmer weather hits, we all start daydreaming about taking a vacation. We’re anxious to relax, but the planning must be done first. How do you take the ultimate vacation and still have money left to invest afterwards? We’ve created a list of the top 7 sites to get a cheap vacation that will help you get the most bang for your buck:

The Best 7 Sites To Get A Cheap Vacation

Let’s take a closer look at each site for a cheap vacation.

Expedia

Expedia is easily one of the more recognizable websites in the vacation planning world. Expedia is extremely easy to navigate and offers a wide range of options for vacationers. From packages that include flights and hotels or hotels and rental cars, or any combination of the three, Expedia has some of the most competitive rates on the market.

Users can filter their preferences for hotels by location, price, rating, and amenities. Users can also filter flights by airline and destination.

Travelocity

Travelocity is actually owned by Expedia so you’ll find similar deals on their website. While the sites are a lot alike, Travelocity does have an advantage – users have the option to filter flights by flight time. Many travelers prefer to get straight to their destination with no stops in between. Travelocity allows you to select their “direct flights only” option to show all the flights that are nonstop.

Priceline

Priceline is yet another great option for booking that perfect vacation. The Priceline website gives users options for hotels, flights, car rentals, bundles, and cruises. In many cases, you can save by bundling, but it’s best to try different combinations until you get the best deal.

Uniquely, Priceline has launched a program called “Pricebreakers”. The program allows users to 3 popular hotels at heavily discounted prices. You click on “choose” and the website chooses one of the options for you. You find out which hotel you get after you book. If you’re someone who is extremely flexible, this could be a fun and different option to use.

Orbitz

Orbitz is yet another site owned by Expedia. Like many of the other sites, Orbitz offers users the ability to create bundled vacation packages which include flights, hotels and rental cars. Orbitz allows users to filter their search by preferences such as hotel chain, airline flight times, and amenities. Want to make a special request for your flight? You can easily do that when you book through Orbitz. Orbitz also offers a flexible cancellation policy. Be sure to check when booking your trip.

Booking.com

Booking.com allows users to search available flights and hotels by destination, as well as car rentals. Something that makes this site stand out from the rest is the ability to search for attractions near your destination. You can search for attractions and book through the site for a discounted price. Users are also able to browse the site by property types such as apartments, hotels, villas, resorts and cabins. Booking.com offers a great rewards program that allows members to earn points to be redeemed for perks such as discounted pricing or special offers at hotels like room upgrades and free breakfast.

Hotels.com

As the name suggests, Hotels.com specializes in deals on hotels. Choose your destination and then filter your results by hotel location and amenities. You can also check out nearby things to do. This site allows you to filter the results by ratings, price and amenities. Choose from family-friendly hotels or hotels specifically for business travelers. You can also filter results that allow for free cancellation or pay after stay options.

CheapCaribbean.com

Obviously with a name like “Cheap Caribbean”, this website has a very specific purpose and is catered towards a very specific traveler. If you’re looking to take a vacation to the islands, this is the perfect site for you. Choose from resort and flight packages or use the “all-inclusive” search feature. You can filter by “adults only”, “family-friendly” or include specific activities you want to do while on vacation.

Spontaneous, flexible travelers on a budget can also take advantage of the “Deals of Fortune” package. This package plugs in the vacation destination, but keeps the resort a secret until a week before your booking date.

Bon Voyage

Vacation should be a time of relaxation, not stressing about how much everything will cost. Booking your vacation on one of these sites will surely save you some money and take a lot of the guesswork out of planning. Of course, it’s always a smart move to shop around until you find the best deal. Using a travel site will definitely get you the vacation you want at the price you want and still leave you some money leftover to invest afterwards.
